Chip Kidd is a graphic designer and writer based in New York City. Over the course of his 38-year career (and counting), he has designed book covers for writers such as Bret Easton Ellis, Haruki Murakami, Dean Koontz, Cormac McCarthy, Anne Rice, Frank Miller, Michael Ondaatje, Alex Ross, Charles Schulz, Osamu Tezuka, Gengoroh Tagame, David Sedaris, Donna Tartt, John Updike, and many others. He is the recipient of the AIGA medal for career achievement, as well as the National Design Award for Communications, the highest honour for a graphic designer in the US.
