As the Design Director at LAAB, Otto Ng sees cross-disciplinary teamwork as the driving force for visionary designs. From public space and architecture to interiors and interactive art, LAAB is committed to developing inventive designs that foster social interaction and public engagement. Based in Hong Kong, the collective of architects, designers, engineers, and makers bring their inventive work to a global audience, with recognition by Japan Good Design Award Best 100, Design for Asia Awards, Perspective Awards, and German iF Design Awards. Prior to cofounding LAAB, Otto studied architecture at HKU and MIT, and had worked in the US, UK and Italy. Otto was awarded Young Guns of New York Art Directors Club. He was named as one of the 50 young game changers shaping Hong Kong’s future by Tatler’s Gen-T. Otto was also an Assistant Professor teaching computation design at HKU.
