Ilenia Notarangelo

Ilenia Notarangelo is Founder & Creative Director at illo.

Born in 1985, Ilenia is an Italian designer and Creative Director. After her degree in Cinema & Media Engineering and work experiences both in the cinema and digital industries, she founded in 2012 with Luca Gonnelli illo.tv, a design-driven studio with a focus on motion design. She now leads the team as CEO & Creative Director: clients include Samsung, Apple, Google, Bloomberg and innovative international startups.
In the last 3 years, she has been focusing her work in developing visual systems for digital products, considering both functional and emotional aspects.

Her credo is bringing visual synthesis, bold color palettes and clear concepts to the world of innovation. Her work has been awarded by the Art Directors Club and Awwwards and featured on Vimeo Staff Picks, Communication Arts, Creative Quarterly and DDA. She has been speaker at international conferences such as OFFF, Forward Festival and Mouvo. Her interests span from design to technology, with a deep passion for what’s next in both fields.

She also founded a tech-driven studio, with Luca Gonnelli, called Algo, focusing on video automation and data-visualization, where she acts as Design Counsellor and co-CEO.
