Troika is a design studio based in London that works with graphic design, product design, technology development, sculptural projects, and interactive installations. Conny Freyer, Eva Rucki, and Sebastien Noel founded Troika in 2003. They are also the authors of the book ‘Digital by Design'(Thames and Hudson). They have broken new ground in their multidisciplinary approach to projects and, since their establishment in 2003, have collected an impressive client list including British Airways, the BBC, the Science Museum, Warner Music, and MTV.
The three designers met in their first week at the College. Rucki, earned her MA in Communication Art and Design at the RCA. Before joining Troika she had worked as a designer for Ständige Vertretung, Berlin, and as an editor at Bermudashorts, London, following a first degree at Arnhem in the Netherlands.
Troika has been featured in numerous group shows at institutions such as: the MoMA New York (2008), the Victoria & Albert Museum London (2009), The Art Institute of Chicago (2009), Tate Britain (2007), and their work is represented in the permanent collections of the Israel Museum Jerusalem, British Council, The Art Institute of Chicago, Victoria and Albert Museum and the Museum Of Modern Art New York. In 2010 Troika were selected to create three art installations for the UK Pavilion at the World Expo Shanghai.
