Retail Design Management Programme - Context, Strategy, Innovation and communication
Fitch’s presentation will cover all aspects of establishing a Retail Design Management Programme – from identifying the context and underlining the strategy to ultimately creating innovative designs that stand out and effectively communicates the message. He will be joined with Raphael van Amerongen, Hans van der Loo, Michel van Tongeren and Henri Christiaan, Hrridaysh Deshpande.

Rodney Fitch is the founder and Chairman of Fitch, the global design agency, now owned by WPP.

Rodney Fitch founded his design practice in 1972 and in 1982, Fitch became the first design business to be fully quoted on the London Stock Exchange as a public company.

Fitch’s firm has led the design industry for over three decades with global clients in Europe, the USA, LATAM and Asia ranging from architecture and interiors, live events, exhibitions, brand identity, industrial design and in particular retail design. Current clients include; Microsoft, Dell, Vodafone, Walmart, Reliance and Tesco.

Rodney Fitch is also active in the arts, culture and education. He is a Senior Governor of the University of the Arts, London; has served as a member of the Council of the Royal College of Art and is a past president of the Designers and Art Directors Association and of the Chartered Society of Designers.

He has been a trustee of the Victoria and Albert Museum and is now Chairman of V&A Enterprises and as such, responsible for the commercial activities of the museum. In 2008 he was inaugural Design Jury President at Cannes. He was awarded CBE in 1990 for his influence on the British design industry.
