Kyoorius DesignYatra has good news & bad:
Carson cancels. Designyatra welcomes Rubbishcorp. Tribute to the Vignellis.
Kyoorius DesignYatra would like to inform all delegates of two significant changes to our conference schedule. We regret the cancellation of David Carson as a speaker at Kyoorius DesignYatra 2011. Carson has informed us that he has been unable to secure his visa to India on time, with a number of unforeseen public holidays that came in between and prevented him from getting the necessary paperwork in order. We apologise to all those delegates who were looking forward to meeting Carson in person in Goa. So were we, but the show must go on.
Anomaly’s Johnny Vulkan has informed us that he will be unable to come to Goa this year because of a personal family obligation that requires him to be in New York at the time of the conference. In his place, Nathan Cooper, creative director at Anomaly’s London office, will be speaking at the conference. Social media enthusiasts will know him as @rubbishcorp, or www.rubbishcorp.com.
DesignYatra delegates, this year, will have the opportunity to view an exclusive short film, produced by Kyoorius Design and directed by renowned web designer and documentary director Hillman Curtis, titled ‘Massimo Vignelli & Debbie Millman.’
In addition, Kyoorius DesignYatra will feature a screening of a special documentary directed by David Guerra and Kathy Brew on the life and works of legendary designer couple Lella and Massimo Vignelli in ‘Design is One: The Vignellis.’
See you at Goa.
